Introduction
The Bihar BJP has removed Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh as the official candidate against the NDA in the Lok Sabha elections and declared him as an independent candidate. This decision was taken due to Pawan Singh’s decision to contest against the official candidate of the National Democratic Alliance, Upendra Kushwaha.
BJP Ticket from Asansol
Initially, Pawan Singh was given a ticket from Asansol Lok Sabha constituency by the BJP. However, he declined to contest from Asansol and announced his decision to run as an independent candidate from Karakat Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar.
Kushwaha’s Statement
Upendra Kushwaha has accused Pawan Singh of trying to mislead the public. The voting for the Karakat seat will take place on June 1st, during the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

Pawan Singh’s decision to contest as an independent candidate has caused a rift within the BJP in Bihar, with Upendra Kushwaha being the official NDA candidate. The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) has also fielded Raja Ram Singh in the Karakat constituency, leading to a three-way competition in the upcoming elections.
भाजपा ने भोजपुरी गायक पवन सिंह को एनडीए के आधिकारिक उम्मीदवार के खिलाफ स्वतंत्र उम्मीदवार के रूप में लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ने के लिए निष्कासित किया। पवन सिंह ने पहले स्वतंत्र उम्मीदवार के रूप में काराकाट लोकसभा क्षेत्र से चुनाव लड़ने का फैसला किया था, लेकिन भाजपा ने उन्हें आसनसोल लोकसभा का टिकट दिया था। इसके बाद पवन सिंह ने चुनाव लड़ने से मना कर दिया और काराकाट से निर्दलीय चुनाव लड़ने का एलान किया। उपेंद्र कुशवाहा ने इसे जनता को भ्रमित करने की कोशिश बताया है। यहां एनडीए ने उपेंद्र कुशवाहा को मैदान में उतारा है और महागठबंधन की ओर से कॉम्युनिस्ट पार्टी ऑफ इंडिया ने राजा राम सिंह को उतारा है। भाजपा नेता खुले तौर पर उपेंद्र कुशवाहा का साथ दे रहे हैं।
