This article shares information about school closures in Bihar due to severe cold weather.

In Bihar, the cold weather is getting more severe, and schools are closing down to protect students. The District Magistrate has announced that all schools for children up to class 8 will be shut down. This closure starts from January 9 and will last until January 12.

The District Magistrate, Navdeep Shukla, has issued strict orders stating that both private and government schools, including pre-schools and Anganwadi centers, must follow this closure. The decision is made considering the extreme cold and heavy fog that the region is currently facing.

Classes above class 8 will still continue but will have new timings. Those students will attend school from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM during this period. This is to ensure that the older students are less affected by the cold temperatures in the morning and evening.

The decision was taken to safeguard the health of younger children, as prolonged exposure to such cold weather can have harmful effects. The administration hopes that this step will provide some relief for the little ones during these chilly days.

As the weather conditions remain harsh, the closure of schools is a precautionary measure. Parents can prepare for these days ahead, knowing their children will be safe from the cold while staying at home.
