Bihar Education Department has appointed KK Pathak as the Additional Chief Secretary of the department. Since taking charge of this position, Pathak has been actively working towards improving the condition of schools in the state. He has focused on changing the appearance of school buildings and has already started the work of renovating and constructing toilets in school premises. He has also emphasized the importance of computer education and has made efforts to provide computer labs in all middle schools.
The construction of toilets and headmaster rooms in 300 primary and middle schools in Patna district has been planned for the financial year 2023-24. Additionally, the renovation work of schools will also be carried out. In the first phase, 96 schools have been selected for the construction of toilets and boring connections. These selected schools from different blocks will receive funds for the construction of toilets, renovation, and boring connections. A budget of 11 crore rupees has been allocated for the construction work in Patna.
KK Pathak has been known for his fearless decision-making. Despite facing opposition, he has shown determination in improving the infrastructure of government schools. The Bihar government has allocated around 900 crore rupees in the current financial year for strengthening the infrastructure of government schools. This includes the purchase of benches and desks, with a budget of over 200 crore rupees solely for this purpose.
