In Bihar, the weather has been dry over the last 24 hours. Day temperatures have dropped in various parts of the state, with maximum temperatures recorded between 21.8 to 26.6 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature was noted in Supaul, reaching 26.6 degrees Celsius.

Western and southern central Bihar have experienced a noticeable drop in temperatures, falling by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. However, other areas in Bihar have not seen much change. The lowest temperature was recorded at 10.0 degrees Celsius in Sabour, Bhagalpur, with minimum temperatures across the state ranging from 10.0 to 15.1 degrees Celsius.

Fog has also been affecting visibility in certain areas, particularly in Gaya, where visibility dropped to just 300 metres. This fog is likely to impact road and rail travel in the mornings, so travelers should be cautious.

Weather experts indicate that a western disturbance is currently active, which could lead to further changes in Bihar’s weather. It is expected that another western disturbance will arrive around the night of February 2, with another one expected to become active from February 5.

Looking ahead, it is forecasted that temperatures in Bihar may drop further by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. After that, there’s a chance for temperatures to rise by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the following days. A warning for dense fog has also been issued for January 31, especially for the north-western and north-central districts.
