This article discusses the heavy rain and flood situation in Bihar, along with the warnings issued by the Meteorological Department.

Bihar is currently experiencing severe weather conditions. Many districts are facing a double challenge of heavy rains and rising river water levels, which raises the risk of flooding. On Thursday, places like Patna, Ara, and Samastipur saw significant rainfall, with Gaya receiving the most at 41.6 mm.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for Friday and Saturday. People are advised to check the weather before heading out, as heavy rains are expected in various districts. An Orange Alert has been declared to inform everyone about the potential risks associated with these weather conditions.

In particular, Sitamarhi and Kishanganj in North Bihar may experience very heavy rainfall, while areas like West Champaran and East Champaran should also prepare for heavy rains. Light to moderate rain is expected in South Bihar, but caution is advised for all residents.

As the rain continues, the water levels in rivers like the Ganga are dangerously high. In Begusarai, the Ganga is flooding the streets, and 1.23 lakh cusecs of water has been released from the Gandak Barrage at Bagaha. Residents are warned to stay alert and avoid unnecessary travel.

Looking ahead, heavy rains are predicted for Saturday in West Champaran and surrounding areas, with very heavy rainfall expected in Kishanganj. The Meteorological Department warns that this rainy spell may continue until September 17, so it’s important for everyone to stay informed and safe during this time.
