The Bihar Government has made an important announcement regarding the police department. On Monday, the Home Department shared that a total of 8 trainee officers from the Indian Police Service (IPS) are being deployed for field training in different districts. This decision aims to rejuvenate the police force and improve law enforcement in the state.
These young officers, belonging to the 2023 and 2024 batches, will take on the role of Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP). They will spend time learning the ins and outs of maintaining law and order in their assigned districts. This practical training will help them gain hands-on experience in policing.
Among the districts where these officers will be deployed, important areas include Patna and Gaya. Sushma Sagar, from the 2023 batch, will be working in Patna, while Deepti Monali from the 2024 batch has been assigned to Gaya. Other officers are assigned to places like Samastipur, East Champaran, and West Champaran.
The training period for these officers will last for 29 weeks. They are also being sent to various regions like North Bihar and Anga. Officers such as Ketan Ashok Ingole and Prasanna Kumar MV will be stationed in Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur, respectively, to learn about practical policing.
As they start their training, these officers will apply the skills they learned at the Bihar Police Academy in Rajgir. The goal is to ensure they are well-prepared to handle real-life policing situations in their districts.
