Bihar Weather Update

In Bihar, the temperature soared above 46 degrees Celsius in 6 districts, with a maximum increase of up to 8 degrees Celsius. The impact of the active cyclonic storm Remal in the Bay of Bengal was particularly felt in some areas of northeastern, eastern, and southeastern Bihar, leading to pleasant weather with a decrease in temperature and rainfall in some districts. However, severe heatwave conditions were observed in southern and southwestern districts like Aurangabad, Rohtas, and Gaya, with temperatures exceeding 47 degrees Celsius recorded in Aurangabad.

Record-breaking Temperatures

On Tuesday, the highest temperature was recorded at 47.7 degrees Celsius in Aurangabad, followed by Rohtas district where Dehri recorded a temperature of 47 degrees Celsius. Other districts like Arwal, Gaya, Sasaram in Rohtas, Buxar, Bhojpur, Nawada, Nalanda, Vaishali, Sheikhpura, Jehanabad, Chapra, Jamui, and Munger also experienced temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

Weather Forecast

The India Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning for districts like Buxar, Bhojpur, Kaimur, Aurangabad, Arwal, and Rohtas in Bihar. The southern parts of Bihar are expected to continue experiencing the heatwave for the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, some relief can be expected in northern and northeastern districts with the possibility of light showers or cloudy skies. Dry weather is predicted for most places in Bihar until May 31, with sporadic rainfall in certain regions around June 1 and 2.
