Bihar Inter Exam, which will run from 1st to 12th February, is expected to have a large number of students and their parents raising their voices in Bhagalpur city. In anticipation of this, the traffic police have also made preparations. During the exam, there will be restrictions on the movement of vehicles on the Vikramshila Bridge every day. Traffic police will also maintain special surveillance in urban areas to tackle the problem of traffic congestion. In addition, there have been significant changes in the instructions issued for the exam centers.
In Bhagalpur, the Intermediate Exam will be held at 50 centers, with more than 39,000 candidates participating. The District Magistrate has also held a review meeting with the Education Department regarding the exam. An officer from the Bihar Board will be sent to monitor the Intermediate Exam. Additionally, heavy vehicles will be restricted from crossing the Vikramshila Bridge one hour before the exam starts and one hour after it ends to prevent traffic congestion. Traffic police will increase their presence in areas where traffic jams are common, such as the main post office, Marwadi Pathshala, TNB College, TNB Collegiate, Muslim Intermediate College, Muslim Degree College, Law College, etc. There will also be continuous patrolling by traffic police teams to ensure smooth traffic flow.
In a significant change, students will now be allowed to wear shoes and socks during the Intermediate Exam. Previously, it was instructed that students should not wear shoes and socks to the exam centers. However, considering the current cold wave, the Exam Controller of the Bihar School Examination Committee has lifted this restriction and allowed students to wear shoes and socks. The District Magistrate, Dr. Naval Kishor Chaudhary, also conducted a review meeting on the preparation for the exam in the district.
The Intermediate Annual Exam will be conducted in two shifts, from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. The exam will be held at 38 centers in Sadar subdivision, six centers in Nawgachia subdivision, and six centers in Kahalgaon subdivision. There is an adequate number of police officers and representatives from the police force appointed for the examination, including 50 static magistrates, 15 inspection teams, and 10 flying squads. The control room will remain active, and there will be a ban on mobile phones and other electronic devices at the exam centers.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the exam, designated magistrates will be present at the exam centers from 7:30 am to check the entrance tickets of the students and allow them to enter the main gate of the centers. Under no circumstances will unauthorized individuals be allowed to enter the exam centers. The use of mobile phones and other electronic devices will be completely prohibited within the exam premises.
