Key IT Projects and Infrastructure Proposals
Minister Shreyasi Singh proposed a Phase-II Research Park and Startup Incubation center at IIT Patna with a planned investment of ₹250 crore. Another major project is the Mega AI Centre of Excellence at IIT Patna, estimated at ₹60 crore. This center will be funded by the central government, state government, and industry partners. Additionally, the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster in Gaya is set to develop 1,670 acres of land into a smart industrial hub under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor.
Investment and Employment Opportunities in Bihar
The state government has already received investment proposals worth ₹827 crore under the Bihar IT Policy 2024. Seven companies are prepared to begin manufacturing laptops, drones, and solar panels in the state. These initiatives aim to provide high-level technical research and create thousands of local jobs for the youth.
