The voting in Bihar was conducted in seven phases last time, considering security and resource facilities. The first phase of voting took place on April 11 and the last phase on May 19. This meant that the voting process was spread over more than a month. This time, since the announcement of elections is delayed, it is believed that there might be six phases of voting, and like last time, all phases of voting will be completed within a month.

The Election Commission of India will release the notification for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections today. Along with this, the announcement of when and where the elections will take place in the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar will also be made. This time, there are expectations of voting taking place in all 40 seats of Bihar in six phases. Last time, similar to Uttar Pradesh with 80 seats and West Bengal with 42 seats, Bihar had elections in seven phases for its 40 seats. The announcement for the Lok Sabha elections in 2019 was made on March 10 that year, and the counting took place on May 23.
