What caused the deaths in Chapra?
The forensic reports of the liquor samples showed the presence of methyl alcohol, which is also called spirit. This chemical was the main reason behind the deaths of five people. The police confirmed that this poisonous substance was mixed into the illicit liquor sold in the area. Currently, four separate cases have been registered to investigate the source of the spirit and how it reached the victims.
Who has been arrested in the case so far?
The police have arrested six people so far, including the primary suspect named Suraj Mahto. He was caught along with five other accomplices who were reportedly part of the manufacturing and distribution chain. The Saran Police are conducting more raids in nearby areas to catch other suspects who are still running away from the law.
