Bihar Police Training on New Laws

The Bihar police officers are being trained in Patna’s Bapu Sabha Ghar on new laws introduced by the Bihar Police. The training program will run for the next three days with 25,000 police personnel undergoing training in three different phases.

Webcasting for Research Officers

Through webcasting, approximately three-quarters of the research officers from all districts of Bihar are involved in the program. They are being provided detailed information about the Indian Penal Code 2023, Indian Citizen Security Act 2023, and Indian Evidence Act 2023. The program was inaugurated by Bihar’s DGP RS Bhatti.

Digital Policing Training

Police officers will receive smartphones and laptops. DGP Headquarters Jitendra Singh Gangwar mentioned that apart from the new criminal laws, the training program also focuses on utilizing forensic science during investigation and promoting digital policing. Specialized training is being provided to collect evidence at the scene of serious crimes.

Digitalization of Police Department

The police department has completed its digitalization, and soon CCTV cameras will be connected to the ICJS. This means that the police force will be fully digital. Research officers will also be provided with laptops and smartphones to facilitate their work. Orders for warrants and summons will also be digitalized in the near future.
