What Tejashwi Yadav Said About The Missing MLAs

When asked about the missing legislators, Tejashwi Yadav stated that it is too early to form an opinion. He mentioned that the voting process continues until 3 PM, while the official polling ends at 4 PM. He advised against making premature claims regarding cross-voting or unexpected absences. The opposition leader expressed complete confidence that the true picture will only emerge once the final results are announced. He maintained a calm stance, noting that the political situation will be clear in just a few hours.

Numbers Game And Support From Other Parties

Tejashwi Yadav assured the media that the Mahagathbandhan has the required numbers to secure their single seat. A candidate needs exactly 41 first-preference votes to win in this election cycle. He confirmed that their candidate, A.D. Singh, has received backing from outside their main alliance. Legislators from AIMIM, led by Akhtarul Iman, and the BSP have already cast their votes in favor of the RJD candidate. He confidently stated that their total vote count stands firm at 41.

List Of MLAs Reported Missing

Earlier in the day, reports surfaced that four MLAs from the RJD and Congress were unreachable. This created a tense situation as the NDA, which has fielded five candidates, reportedly needs three additional votes to win all their seats. Ahead of the vote, Mahagathbandhan MLAs were housed together in a local hotel to prevent any voting shifts. Below is the list of legislators who were reported missing during the morning hours:

Name of MLA Party Constituency
Faisal Rahman RJD Dhaka
Manoj Biswas Congress Forbesganj
Surendra Prasad Kushwaha Congress Valmikinagar
Manohar Prasad Singh Congress Manihari
