Under this, about 14 holidays will be canceled this year and teachers will not get leave even in Rakshabandhan, Teej, Jiutiya. At the same time, holidays have also been cut in festivals like Durgapuja, Chhath, Deepawali, Bhaiya Dooj, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Chitragupta Puja. The Director of Secondary Education has told the reason for the cancellation of holidays is that studies are being disrupted from time to time due to examinations, festivals, elections, in such a situation, an order has been issued to cancel the holidays in the interest of the children. After the decree of the education department, once again the anger of the teachers of Bihar has flared up and everyone has warned of agitation against the government. At the same time, BJP MP and Union Minister Giriraj Singh has also attacked the Nitish government.

Now teacher leader Anand Kaushal Singh, Raju Singh have warned the government calling it anti-teacher and anti-Hindu and said that KK Pathak’s decree is going to hurt sentiments, teachers will not tolerate it at all. He said that soon after calling an emergency meeting of the Sangh, he will chalk out a strategy for the state-wide movement and by locking the schools across the state, the education system will come to a complete standstill.

Giriraj Singh cornered Nitish government

Here, after the order of the Education Department, Union Minister Giriraj Singh has also made a big attack on the Bihar government. He said, the holidays of Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja have been canceled and tomorrow it is possible that Sharia will be implemented in Bihar and there will be a ban on celebrating Hindu festivals. Let us tell you that an important notification has been issued by the Bihar Secondary Education Office to the schools of the state. According to the new schedule of this notification issued by the Bihar Education Department, schools in Bihar will remain open for at least 200 days from class 1 to 5.

Education Department released new datesheet

Giving information in this regard, Additional Chief Secretary of Bihar Education Department KK Pathak said that after this decision of Bihar Education Department, there will be no holiday even on the day of Raksha Bandhan. In such a situation, students will have to come to school on 31 August as well. On the instructions of KK Pathak, a new datesheet of holidays has been issued in the schools from primary to higher secondary of the state. There was a six-day holiday in the schools for Durga Puja in the state, which has now been extended to three days by adding Sunday.

Leave was available from Diwali to Chhath

Significantly, before this, holidays were available from Diwali to Chhath. This year also the holiday was scheduled from 13 November to 21 November. Now there will be holidays on Diwali on November 12, Chitragupta Puja on November 15 and Chhath Puja for only two days. There will be a holiday on 19th and 20th November on the occasion of Chhath Puja. Bihar Education Department has said that in the Right to Education Act 2009, there is a provision of at least 200 working days from 1st to 5th and at least 220 working days from 6th to 8th standard. Under this only a new list has been made.

Opposition to the decision of the Education Department

According to the Right to Education Act-2009, there is an order to conduct classes 1-5 for 200 days and classes 6-8 for 220 days in a year. Even after deducting 52 Sundays and 60 festival holidays in a year, the school conducts classes for 253 days. Still, cancellation of holidays is dictatorship of the education department. This decision of the Bihar School Education Department is also being opposed. Chhath Puja is celebrated as a great festival in Bihar. After the news of reduction in its holidays, many posts are being made on social media. There is a demand for leave as before.

बिहार के स्कूलों में रक्षाबंधन सहित 12 छुट्टियां रद्द की गई हैं। बिहार के स्कूलों में इस वर्ष बचे हुए दिनों की छुट्टियों को कम किया गया है। सितंबर से दिसंबर तक के महीनों में 11 दिनों के लिए स्कूल बंद रहेंगे। गिरिराज सिंह ने कहा – कल शरिया लागू हो सकती है। बिहार शिक्षा विभाग के उपमुख्य सचिव के.के. पाठक के आदेश पर, माध्यमिक शिक्षा निदेशक ने छुट्टियों को रद्द करने के आदेश जारी किए हैं। इसके तहत, इस वर्ष लगभग 14 छुट्टियां रद्द की जाएंगी और शिक्षकों को राखी, तीज, जुइटिया में छुट्टी नहीं मिलेगी। इसके साथ ही, दुर्गा पूजा, छठ, दीपावली, भैया दूज, गुरु नानक जयंती, चित्रगुप्त पूजा जैसे त्योहारों में भी छुट्टियां कम कर दी गई हैं। माध्यमिक शिक्षा निदेशक ने छुट्टियों को रद्द करने का कारण बताया है कि परीक्षाओं, त्योहारों, चुनावों के कारण बार-बार अध्ययन में बाधा हो रही है, ऐसे में, बच्चों के हित में छुट्टियों को रद्द करने के आदेश जारी किए गए हैं। शिक्षा विभाग के आदेश के बाद, बिहार के शिक्षकों का फिर से गुस्सा उबर आया है और सभी ने सरकार के खिलाफ आंदोलन की चेतावनी दी है। इसी के साथ, भाजपा के सांसद और केंद्रीय मंत्री गिरिराज सिंह ने भी नीतीश सरकार पर हमला किया है।
