The Bihar Special Task Force and the local district police conducted a joint operation in the Paura police station area of Khagaria district. During this raid, a man named Kundan was arrested for his involvement in creating forged government documents. The accused was reportedly running an illegal racket under the cover of a mobile shop where he produced fake certificates and Aadhaar cards for several people.

How the illegal document racket was operating

Kundan used his mobile shop as a front to avoid suspicion from local authorities and neighbors. While customers thought it was a regular shop for mobile repairs and recharges, he was secretly using computer systems to print illegal Aadhaar cards and other identity proofs. The Bihar STF had been monitoring these suspicious activities for some time before deciding to carry out the arrest on April 6, 2026. The police verified that the documents being produced did not follow any official government process.

Items recovered during the police raid

When the police team searched the shop premises, they found various tools used for forgery. The following items were seized during the operation:

  • Multiple electronic devices and computer systems
  • Printers and scanners used for making cards
  • Mobile phones used for coordinating with clients
  • Several sets of fake documents and Aadhaar cards

The Bihar Police mentioned that the investigation is still ongoing to find out if more people are involved in this network. Kundan is currently in custody and is being questioned about how many fake documents he has issued so far in the region.
