Bihar News: Teacher Shiv Paswan, who is accused of assaulting the District Project Officer (DPO) Devnarayan Pandit at the Bhagalpur District Office, was produced in court by the Barari police on Tuesday. Following the incident, the Headmaster was arrested and sent to judicial custody on Monday after he allegedly assaulted the DPO at his office, causing him to bleed and sustain injuries. The entire staff at the District Office was outraged upon learning of the incident and the accused Headmaster was locked up at the District Office before being handed over to the police.

Education Department Takes Action: After the incident, District Education Officer Sanjay Kumar expressed his firm stance and wrote a letter to the Education Department to improve the security arrangements. He mentioned that it is unacceptable to have such incidents occur in the office premises and added that action is being taken against the accused teacher who is charged with using foul language, assaulting, and obstructing government work. The Education Department is also preparing for departmental action against the accused teacher. Security guards and CCTV cameras will be installed to improve the security arrangements. Kumar also mentioned that security guards will be stationed in front of the officer’s chamber and CCTV cameras will be installed throughout the office premises.
