This article provides an update on the new four-lane road project in Bihar, connecting Khagaria to Purnia.

Good news for Bihar! A new four-lane road is set to be built between Khagaria and Purnia. This project has been approved by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and will cover a distance of 143 kilometers. It is a significant step towards improving road infrastructure in the state.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced this development in the Lok Sabha. He mentioned that the project will cost around Rs 4000 crore. The formal approval from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet is still pending but is expected to come through soon.

This new road will greatly benefit the people traveling between Khagaria and Purnia. Currently, the existing road is just a single lane, which has been the cause of many accidents. Once the four-lane road is completed, the safety and speed of travel in this area will improve significantly. Work is likely to start within one to one and a half months after the official go-ahead.

In addition to this, there were discussions about another road project, NH-107, which has faced delays. This road from Maheshpur to Saharsa was supposed to be completed earlier but has been pushed back due to various issues. However, this project is also expected to make progress soon.

Overall, the construction of the Khagaria to Purnia road is a positive development for the region. Once it is approved, the work will begin quickly, aiming to reduce travel time and accidents in the area.
