- After the end of the pandemic, rail operations resumed in other areas, but the services available in this route before 2014 remain suspended.
Passengers upset due to stoppage of train service
- Passenger trains on this railway line were initially suspended for 30 days, but the suspension has been extended to five months.
- Construction work at Gorakhpur Cantonment station has led to the suspension of train operations on this route.
- The operation of several trains, including Avadh Express, Saptakranti Superfast, Porbandar, Dehradun, and Bapudham Banaras Express, has been canceled until September 13.

- Bagaha station alone receives revenue of Rs 7 lakh per day through reservation and running tickets on this railway section.
- Passengers argue that if the railway administration had considered its daily income and revenue collection seriously, such a decision would not have been made.
- When questioned about the operation and suspension of trains, an officer refused to comment and stated that decisions are made by senior officers.
