Bihar Weather: The cold wave in Bihar continues, with the prediction of dense fog and cold weather for the next four days. There may be a slight decrease in minimum temperature during the next 48 hours. On Sunday, after January 12, the sun came out in most parts of southern Bihar, including Patna. People enjoyed the warm sunlight. However, the improvement in weather conditions in Bihar has also been reported. The maximum temperature increased by four degrees in southern Bihar on Thursday compared to Wednesday, while northern Bihar saw an average increase of two degrees. Despite this, the cold weather was still felt with temperatures four to six degrees Celsius below normal throughout the state. However, the situation did not turn into a cold day after the sun came out.
Bihar Weather Forecast: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier predicted cold days in the entire state from January 19 to 24. However, this was not observed as no cold days were declared in the state. In fact, while the maximum temperature should be at least five degrees below normal, the minimum temperature should be less than 10 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in Patna and Gaya is four degrees below normal, while Bhagalpur and Purnia recorded a five-degree below normal maximum temperature.
Bihar Weather: A severe cold wave will continue for six days in Bihar, according to the weather department. Patna and surrounding areas will experience a decrease of two to three degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. Due to clear skies, some areas are also expected to experience dense fog. The current weather in the state is influenced by easterly and northeasterly winds, with no significant change expected. On Friday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 18.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 10.1 degrees Celsius.
Gaya Weather: Gaya also experienced fluctuating temperatures on Friday. Due to a decrease of four degrees in the maximum temperature, there was an increase in cold. The maximum temperature recorded was 18.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 10.4 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees higher than the normal minimum temperature. People found relief when the sun came out during the afternoon. According to the weather department, there will be no respite from the cold for the next three to four days. Fog is expected in the morning, while the sky will remain clear during the afternoon.
North Bihar Weather: North Bihar is also not expected to receive any relief from the cold wave. The weather department has issued a forecast for the next five days, indicating that the cold conditions will persist due to the movement of jet streams. This will result in below-normal temperatures during the day for the next three days. People will have to deal with dense fog in the morning hours. According to the forecast, the maximum temperature in Muzaffarpur district will range between 14 to 17 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be between 8 to 10 degrees Celsius.
