Bihar Weather: Bihar is experiencing intense heat. According to the weather department, there will be no significant change in temperatures at various places in most districts of Bihar over the next 48 hours. Some areas in the south-west of the state will also feel extreme heat. Places like Patna, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Gaya, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Saran, Siwan, and Nawada will be affected by heatwaves.
Possibility of Heatwave: The weather department predicts that some places in the south-western part of Bihar will experience intense heat on Monday, while a few places in the north-west, north-central, and south parts will also feel hotter than usual. On Saturday, Patna and 15 other districts in the state experienced severe heatwaves with temperatures reaching as high as 46 degrees in some areas.
Monsoon Rain Forecast: People in Bihar enduring the scorching heat are eagerly awaiting the monsoon. Even in the northern districts of Bihar, the heat is intense. The weather department forecasts good rainfall in most places in northern Bihar on June 18 and 19. During this time, strong winds may also blow in some areas. With the change in weather, the heatwave situation may end in the next two days. Muzaffarpur recorded a maximum temperature of 38.2 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
Weather in Bhagalpur and Surrounding Areas: Bhagalpur and the surrounding districts have been suffering from extreme heat and humidity, leaving people eagerly waiting for rain. The pressure of the western winds has rendered the easterly winds ineffective, weakening them. As a result, active monsoon winds from northern West Bengal and the North East have not been able to advance towards the border areas of Bihar, Kosi, and East Bihar. However, the Indian Meteorological Department has provided relief during this time, stating that there is a possibility of rain in East Bihar over the next five days. The temperature in Bhagalpur was recorded at 38.5 degrees on Saturday. According to the weather department, there may be an increase in maximum and minimum temperatures in Bhagalpur district between June 16 and 20. People may also be troubled by the humidity. However, there is a possibility of light rain from Monday.
