This article provides an update on the current weather conditions in Bihar, including details about cold temperatures and fog warnings.
Bihar is currently experiencing a bit of relief from the intense cold weather. However, the mornings and nights are still quite foggy in many areas. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for 18 districts, warning that visibility might be low early in the day because of the fog.
In the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature dropped below 10 degrees Celsius in 15 districts. The coldest place was Sabour in Bhagalpur, where the temperature fell to 5.4 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists say that this cold weather will continue for the next seven days at night, while daytime will be sunny, which should help ease the chill a little.
At night, the temperatures are dropping due to dry north-western winds and moisture in the air, leading to fog. In Patna, the minimum temperature is around 10 to 11 degrees Celsius. The weather department expects moderate fog in the mornings, but the sunshine during the day will provide some comfort from the cold.
In the coming days, dense fog is expected again in several districts. The weather department warns that the fog will be heavy in many areas, particularly in Western Bihar, including places like Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, and Buxar. However, regions in eastern Bihar, like Patna and Bhagalpur, will experience less fog.
The weather forecast shows that from January 19, dense fog will cover most of Bihar, except for a few districts. On January 20, fog will likely spread to eastern Bihar. There is hope that from January 21 to 24, the fog may lessen, bringing some relief.
