Monsoon Brings Light Rain to Bihar, Heavy Rainfall Not Expected
Jagran Correspondent, Patna. Monsoon has been active in the state including the capital for the last two days. Due to their influence, the process of light rain is going on. People gathered around and watched the clouds expecting heavy rain, but heavy rain did not occur in the capital.
No System is Currently Active for Heavy Rain
People have got relief from humidity due to drop in temperature due to cloudy sky. According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall at some places in the state for the next three days. No system is currently active for heavy rain. During the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of lightning and thunder at some places in South Central and South-Eastern parts including Patna.
Light to Moderate Rainfall was Recorded in North Bihar
Whereas, there are chances of light rain in Buxar, Rohtas, Saran, Kaimur, Banka, Munger, Vaishali, Jamui. At the same time, on Wednesday, a warning has been issued regarding thunder and lightning for 12 districts of North-East and South-East. During this period, there are chances of light to moderate rainfall in most parts of the state. During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall was recorded at most places in North Bihar.
Lalbegiaghat in East Champaran recorded 42.0 mm of rainfall. The capital recorded 0.6 mm rainfall. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon trough is effective from a low pressure area via Lucknow, Satna, Raipur to Odisha and Andhra Pradesh via Northeast Bay of Bengal.
