This article shares updates on the weather in Bihar as the monsoon season comes to an end and winter approaches.

The monsoon season in Bihar is wrapping up. Since Friday, many areas in the state have stopped receiving rain, marking a shift in the weather. The Bihar Meteorological Service has officially stated that we are entering a period with no more rain, bringing cooler air and morning dew instead.

The Southwest Monsoon has already retreated from several states like Gujarat and Maharashtra as of October 10. Now, Bihar is also ready to say goodbye to the monsoon in the next three to four days. This means we can expect dry days ahead.

People in places like Patna, Gaya, and Darbhanga are already feeling the change with light cold winds blowing during the mornings and evenings. Dew and light fog are becoming common in rural areas, prompting many to reach for their quilts in the early hours. The temperature is expected to drop slightly at night, while daytime temperatures will remain steady for now.

The Meteorological Department mentions that starting from the fourth week of October, cold north-west winds will start affecting Bihar, signaling the arrival of winter. Currently, humidity levels are around 70 to 80 percent, but without rain, the moisture in the air is decreasing, making the cooler mornings and evenings more noticeable.

Weather experts suggest that this winter might be a bit harsher than usual, with less sunlight and stronger cold winds. This is good news for farmers, as the end of the rains allows for quicker harvesting and sowing. Overall, the monsoon has officially ended in Bihar, and we can look forward to chilly mornings with a lovely blanket of fog.

Summary:

  • The monsoon season in Bihar is coming to an end.

  • Rain has stopped in many areas starting Friday.

  • Cool winds and dew are now being felt in the mornings.

  • Winter is expected to arrive by late October.

  • Farmers can now proceed with their harvesting and sowing.
