The victim, in her complaint, stated that she got married in a village under the jurisdiction of Shikarpur police station. The accused used to visit her in-laws’ place and befriended her husband. He spread false rumors about her, which led her husband to abandon her without any explanation. After abandoning her, Vinay Shukla tricked her into coming to his village and forced her to live in a makeshift hut, where he sexually assaulted her daily.
Vinay Shukla, who is already married, continued to assault her for 21 years, refusing to marry her. He even sold a piece of land that belonged to her for 12 lakh rupees, taking 3 lakh 50 thousand rupees from her and physically assaulting her before throwing her out of the hut. He has also been threatening her with death if she demands the money back.
Shikarpur police station in-charge, Ramashray Yadav, confirmed that an FIR has been registered based on the victim’s complaint. The police are conducting raids to apprehend the accused.
