24-year-old Laxmi Jha, a resident of Bangaon in Saharsa district of Bihar, has created history. Lakshmi emerges from the four walls of the house and hoists the tricolor on the peaks of the mountains. This time he has set a record of hoisting the tricolor on the 16,854 feet high peak of Mount Ararat of Turkey, that too in just 41 hours. Lakshmi Jha kept moving forward with courage in front of snowfall and strong storm. Lakshmi told that she had left Bihar on August 15 with the target of reaching the summit. But due to bad weather there, the journey had to be postponed for a few days. Then on 18 August she left for the base camp. After climbing for about six hours, reached the first base camp located at 3000 meters. The next day, after climbing for three hours, reached the height of 4200 meters from the base camp.

Didn’t give up even in the midst of snow and storm

Lakshmi told that after reaching base camp 4200 meters the weather was so bad that only clouds and snow storm were visible. At around one o’clock in the night of 21st August, started moving towards the peak. Seeing minus 15 degree cold, steep climb and bad weather, the guide also asked to return. But the steps of this daughter of Bihar did not move back. While climbing, when morning broke, the clouds were removed and the destination was visible in front. After this, the tricolor of India was hoisted on the top of Mount Ararat. Let us tell you that this is not the first time that Lakshmi has created history. There are many records in the name of Lakshmi in this difficult field of mountaineers. Now the dream is to climb Mount Everest.
