Bihar Faces Intense Heatwave:

Bihar is currently reeling under the grip of severe heatwave and scorching winds. Patna has entered the hot weather zone with relentless rays of the sun causing extreme discomfort to the residents. Coolers are proving to be ineffective in providing relief, and even inside homes, the air from fans feels warm. There is no respite expected from this harsh weather until at least April 25.

Orange Alerts Issued in Several Districts:

Due to the likelihood of a further increase in temperature and heatwave conditions, orange alerts have been issued in many districts. People have been advised by meteorological experts to avoid going out of their homes between 11 am to 3 pm and to keep themselves hydrated even if they do not feel thirsty. Patna’s temperature is currently 4.4 degrees above normal, signaling the onset of a heatwave if it rises by another degree.

Anticipated Heatwave in Various Districts:

On April 22, there is a high probability of severe heatwave conditions in Banka, Sheikhpura, and Bhagalpur districts. Yellow alerts have been issued in Madhubani, Jamui, Supaul, Darbhanga, and East Champaran districts. The southern and northwestern parts of the state are likely to experience hot days. With temperatures soaring in multiple districts, precautionary measures need to be taken to combat the heatwave in Bihar.
