After verifying his complaint, the department set up a trap to catch the officers in the act.

For the public, this action highlights the ongoing issue of corruption in local government. The complaint led to a well-planned operation where the contractor was sent to the officials with the arranged bribe. As soon as the officers accepted the money, they were immediately arrested.
