Bihar is getting colder, with changes in air quality and temperature fluctuations.

Bihar is starting to feel the chill as the weather changes. The mornings and evenings are getting cooler, and fog is appearing in many places. The Meteorological Department has noted that this change is causing temperature differences between day and night.

In the coming days, the cold is expected to increase. Right now, the temperatures in southern and eastern Bihar are between 18 to 20 degrees Celsius, while other areas are seeing temperatures of 21 to 24 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures could reach as high as 36 degrees Celsius over the next few days.

Recently, temperatures have shown a lot of variation. For example, on Thursday, Motihari recorded a high of 34.5°C, while Piprasi in West Champaran had a low of 18.3°C. Compared to Wednesday, the daytime heat increased slightly, but night temperatures fell by about 2°C. Meteorologists predict that night temperatures will drop even further soon.

Another concern is the air quality, which has worsened. During the monsoon, air quality was good, but now it’s declining. For instance, on October 17, cities like Patna and Muzaffarpur recorded air quality index (AQI) levels of 156 and 131, respectively. Experts warn that this is just the start of a potential health risk.

As the weather continues to change, residents should stay alert for colder days ahead. With the drop in temperatures and the decline in air quality, it’s essential to take necessary precautions against the cold and consider the air quality’s impact on health.

Summary:

  • Bihar is experiencing a drop in temperatures.

  • Mornings and evenings are getting cooler with fog in many areas.

  • Night temperatures are expected to decrease further.

  • Air quality is worsening, posing health risks.

  • Residents should prepare for colder days ahead.
