Attack on BJP Leaders in Buxar
In Buxar, BJP leaders and workers returning after election campaigning on Sunday night were attacked by some antisocial elements near Kusahi village in the Rajpur Thana area. BJP MLA Rajiv Kumar alias Gopu, who hails from Gopalganj, was in the car that was attacked. Chaos ensued during the attack, and the BJP leaders managed to save themselves by hiding in the car. They informed SP Manish Kumar about the incident, leading to the police starting a crackdown to arrest the miscreants behind the attack.
BJP Leader Releases Video Statement
A video statement was released by a BJP leader accusing supporters of Sudhakar Singh of the attack. BJP leader JP Rai mentioned that while they were returning after campaigning, supporters of RJD candidate Sudhakar Singh attacked them, resulting in the windows of their vehicle being shattered. The BJP leaders somehow managed to escape and save their lives. Police have identified five attackers, while around 40 remain unidentified. Within 24 hours, the police will arrest all such antisocial elements and send them to jail.
Police Crackdown on Attackers
Rajpur Thana in-charge Santosh Kumar mentioned that as BJP leaders were returning after completing their election campaigning, their campaign vehicle was attacked. The windows of two vehicles were broken. The district president of BJP Kisan Morcha has filed a complaint. Five attackers have been identified, while around 40 remain unknown. Police will arrest these antisocial elements within 24 hours and ensure that anyone disrupting peace in the area will not go unpunished.
