BJP MP Jayant Sinha from Hazaribagh has been issued a show-cause notice by the party and asked to provide clarification within two days. The party has raised concerns about him distancing himself from election campaigning and not actively participating in party activities.
Notice Issued to Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha
The BJP state party has also issued notices to Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha and five Mandal Presidents in his assembly constituency. The letter issued by State President Aditya Sahu mentions lack of interest shown by Raj Sinha in both election campaigning and organizational work.
BJP’s Image Affected
The decision of Jayant Sinha not to vote in the elections has been criticized by BJP leader Pratul Shahdev, stating that it is damaging the party’s image. He emphasized that as an elected MP, Jayant Sinha should have actively participated in the voting process.
Jayant Sinha’s Announcement of Distance from Politics
Just hours before the announcement of BJP’s first list of candidates, Jayant Sinha, son of Shyamal Sinha, declared his decision to distance himself from politics. He communicated this decision to party leadership through social media, expressing his intention to remain in the BJP but stay away from active politics.
हजारीबाग से बीजेपी सांसद जयंत सिन्हा को पार्टी ने शो-कॉज किया है। उन्हें दो दिनों के अंदर स्पष्टीकरण देने को कहा है। चुनाव प्रचार से दूर रहने और वोट नहीं देने को लेकर पार्टी ने तलब किया है। वहीं प्रदेश भाजपा ने धनबाद विधायक राज सिन्हा और उनके विधानसभा क्षेत्र के पांच मंडल अध्यक्षों को भी नोटिस जारी किया गया है। प्रदेश महामंत्री आदित्य साहू की साइन से लेटर जारी किया गया है। इस बार के चुनाव में बीजेपी ने हजारीबाग से मनीष जायसवाल को टिकट दिया था। जयंत सिन्हा ने पार्टी की पहली लिस्ट आने से पहले ही चुनाव नहीं लड़ने की इच्छा जताई थी। इसके बावजूद, प्रदेश भाजपा की ओर से जारी पत्र में लिखा गया है कि हजारीबाग लोकसभा सीट से पार्टी ने मनीष जायसवाल को प्रत्याशी घोषित किया है, तब से आप चुनाव प्रचार में शामिल नहीं हो रहे हैं। यह नकारात्मक संदेश भेज सकता है।
