Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav criticizes caste system implementation
Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav expressed his views on the caste system, stating that those who implement it are not interested in uplifting the neglected and deprived sections of society. He praised Jannayak Karpoori Thakur and Lalu Prasad for their efforts in socially and politically respecting these classes. Yadav spoke at a discussion organized at the RJD office on the birth anniversary of Jagdev Prasad.
‘Caste census conducted to increase reservation system’
Tejashwi Yadav mentioned that the Grand Alliance government in Bihar conducted a caste-based census with the aim of increasing reservation for socially and economically deprived classes. The purpose was to obtain an accurate picture of the situation, which is nearing completion. This data will assist in the implementation of public welfare schemes. Yadav emphasized the goal of bringing all members of society into the mainstream and questioning the existence of the high and low caste system.
Debate over the invitation letter for the G-20 meeting
Yadav pointed out that the invitation cards for the G-20 meeting referred to the President of India, while their slogan is ‘Jongega Bharat, Jeetega India’. This highlights the differing perspectives of the BJP. He also criticized the BJP’s attempt to change the mention of India in the Preamble of the Indian Constitution. Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Alok Mehta also shared his views on this occasion.
Other attendees at the event included RJD National Vice President Uday Narayan Chaudhary, State General Secretary Ranvijay Sahu, MLA Rajvanshi Mahato, Fateh Bahadur Singh, and National Spokesperson Subodh Kumar Mehta.
