BJP wins 8 seats in Jharkhand Lok Sabha elections 2024

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand, the BJP has won on eight seats, while the ‘India’ alliance has secured five seats. Compared to the previous elections, the BJP has faced a loss of three seats. Post-election results, there have been internal disputes within the BJP, with allegations of physical assault between a legislator and a Member of Parliament’s supporters.

Controversy erupts over results review meeting

A meeting was called on Monday to review the results of the Godda Lok Sabha elections. This led to a physical altercation between supporters of BJP legislator Narayan Das from Deoghar and BJP MP Dr. Nishikant Dubey from Godda.

Narayan Das accuses Nishikant of assault

Narayan Das has accused MP Dubey of causing a commotion and physical assault. He alleges that some individuals were grabbed by the collar, verbally abused, and two party workers, Devashish Choudhary and Gautam Yadav, were also assaulted. Party leaders have arrived in Devghar to review the results of all three Lok Sabha seats in Santal Pargana.

Incident reported to the police

The situation escalated with supporters and workers beginning to create a scene right in front of them. The names of Nirmal Mishra and Rahul Tiwari have come up as those who were threatening and involved in the physical assault. Three complaints have been filed at the Nagar and Kunda police stations from different parties until the news was written.
