Young man found hanging in locked room in Supaul, Bihar
A shocking incident occurred in Sundarpur Ward No. 4 of Sadar Thana area in Supaul, Bihar, where the body of a 23-year-old youth was found hanging from a locked room. The father of the deceased has accused his wife of hanging him to death during a dispute over the phone. However, the wife denied the allegations, saying she does not know why he committed suicide. The police have taken the body into custody and are investigating the matter.
Deceased identified as Sujit Kumar, a resident of Sadar Thana area
The deceased, Sujit Kumar, was the fourth among five siblings and got married three years ago. After marriage, he lived separately from his parents and siblings, working as a laborer to support his family. His father, Nand Lal Ram, mentioned that Sujit lived with his wife and one-year-old daughter. The deceased’s identity has been confirmed as Sujit Kumar, son of Nand Lal Ram, a resident of Sadar Thana area.
Wife suspects foul play in husband’s death
Sujit had sent his wife, Babita, to her parents’ home in Madhubani district 11 days ago and was staying alone. When he did not wake up till late on Sunday morning, his father looked through the window and found him hanging. With the help of local villagers, they broke open the locked room, took down the body, and informed the police. The father claimed that there was a dispute with his wife over the phone, leading him to commit suicide. However, the wife denied any such dispute that could have led to his death.
Police investigating the suspicious death
The police have sent the body for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital and are taking necessary action based on the application. The Station House Officer, Arun Kumar, stated that the police are investigating the matter of the suspicious death. The wife suspects foul play in her husband’s death and believes he was murdered. The police are currently looking into the case and will take further action accordingly.
