Body Found of Missing Police Officer’s Son in Patna

The body of the missing son of a police officer has been found in Patna after four days. Anubhav Kumar (16), a student, had left home to go to coaching classes and had been missing since May 20. His family had reported him missing to the authorities in the Maharani Colony area of the Bypass police station. Anubhav’s father, Vijay Kumar Shahi, is a police officer posted in Araria.

Post-Mortem Underway at Nalanda Medical College Hospital

The police recovered the body from a partially constructed house on Friday and have sent it to the Nalanda Medical College Hospital in Patna for post-mortem. Anubhav Kumar was a student of Simultala School in the tenth grade and lived in the hostel. He had come home on May 1 for a holiday and went missing on May 20 when he left for coaching classes.

Family Reported Anubhav Missing

CCTV footage from May 20 showed Anubhav leaving home alone. The family had reported him missing to the police when he did not return home. The police confirmed the family’s report and are investigating the case. The police were informed on Friday that Anubhav’s body was found on the roof of their own partially constructed house.
