Missing Youth Found Dead in River in Bihar

A youth who went missing while bathing in the river with friends in Bajitpur village under the Chiksaura police station area in Nalanda, Bihar was found dead after 36 hours. The body was recovered by the SDRF team near Musahri village, about 2 kilometers away from the incident site. The deceased, identified as Shubham from Fatuha in Patna, was swimming in the Lokain river with friends when he went missing in the strong current while attempting to swim from one bank to the other.

Search Operation Conducted by Local Authorities

After the youth went missing in the river, a search operation was initiated by the local police. The SDRF team along with the police administration reached the spot on Sunday evening but could not start the search operation due to darkness. The search operation resumed on Monday morning and the body of the missing youth was finally recovered on Tuesday morning.

Body Recovered with Help of SDRF and Locals

The Chiksaura police station in-charge, Babban Ram, stated that with the help of the SDRF team and local divers, the body of the missing youth was recovered from the river. The body has been sent to Biharsharif Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. The youth had gone missing while bathing in the river on Sunday evening.

Post-Mortem Examination Underway

The incident has left the locals in shock and the family of the deceased in mourning. The post-mortem examination of the body is currently underway at the hospital to determine the cause of death. The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of swimming in rivers, especially during the monsoon season when water currents are strong.
