Body Found in Ganga at Nayagaon Ghat
The body of a teenager who drowned in the river on Sunday at Nayagaon Ganga Ghat in the Nayagaon Thana area has been recovered from the Sonapur Ghat today. Local divers retrieved the body and it is currently undergoing post-mortem at the Sadar Hospital. The deceased, identified as Praveen Jha, a resident of Sonapur Deeh, had gone to bathe in the Ganga with his friends. While two friends came out of the river after bathing, Hariom drowned during the process.
Search Operation
After receiving information, the Nayagaon police and divers’ team reached the Ganga Ghat and searched until late Sunday evening, but to no avail. The family members were in shock after the news of the drowning spread. The body was finally found during a search operation this morning at the Sonapur Ghat. The police took custody of the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

नयागांव थाना क्षेत्र के नयागांव गंगा घाट पर रविवार को नदी में डूबे किशोर का शव आज सोनापुर घाट से बरामद कर लिया गया है। गोताखोरों ने शव को निकालकर सदर अस्पताल में पोस्टमॉर्टम की प्रक्रिया चलाई जा रही है। मृतक का नाम प्रवीण झ है और उनके परिजनों ने बताया कि उन्होंने गंगा स्नान के दौरान डूब जाने से जीवन खो दिया। इस दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण घटना के बाद परिजनों में कोहराम मचा है।
