The body of a married woman was found in suspicious condition at her in-laws’ house in Nalanda on Monday evening. The incident took place in the Alinagar village under the jurisdiction of the entire police station. The deceased has been identified as Kumkum Devi (20), wife of Ravindra Paswan. On Tuesday morning, relatives reached the hospital with the body for post-mortem.
According to people from the maternal side, they were informed by the in-laws that Kumkum had fallen unconscious and was taken to the hospital where she was declared dead. However, they found the circumstances suspicious and immediately informed the police. The police then reached the spot and took the body into custody for further investigation.
As of now, the exact cause of death is unknown and further details will be revealed after the post-mortem report. The police are investigating the matter from all angles to ascertain the truth behind the incident. The in-laws are being questioned and statements are being recorded to gather more information about the case. The police are also looking into any possible foul play or involvement of any other individuals in the incident.
