Body Found Hanging from Tamarind Tree in Bihar

In the Kyauhar village of the Singhia police station area in Samastipur, Bihar, the body of a young man was found hanging from a tamarind tree on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Manoj Sahni, son of Kishor Sahni from Jharsuguda, Odisha. The body was hanging about 15 feet high from the ground with the support of a saree.

Incident Details and Investigation

Upon commotion, a large number of people gathered at the scene. During this time, the police were informed about the incident. The police have removed the body and sent it to the Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The family members have not yet arrived and no formal application has been submitted.

Family Dispute and Tragic End

It was reported that the deceased’s wife had come to Singhia from Odisha about 7 months ago. There was a growing dispute between the couple over returning to Odisha due to the wife’s father being unwell. The dispute escalated, leading to a violent altercation on Wednesday night. Manoj left home around 9 pm and was found dead the next morning hanging from the tamarind tree in the village.

Police Statement and Further Action

The Singhia police station in-charge mentioned that the incident seems to be related to a family dispute. The body has been taken into custody, and the hospital has been informed for postmortem. No family members have arrived yet, and once they do, appropriate action will be taken based on their statement.
