They purchase alcohol from neighboring states and sell it at high prices in Bihar, prompting the police to keep a close watch on these mafias.

A video showcasing a contraption used by alcohol mafias in Gopalganj for smuggling alcohol has gone viral on social media. The video, although from January, continues to circulate on people’s news feeds. It demonstrates how alcohol mafias can modify a cart to conceal a significant amount of alcohol for illegal trade.

Discovery and Seizure

The modified cart in Gopalganj, Bihar, was discovered outside the Bhor Thana by the police, who exposed the true nature of the smuggling operation to the media and bystanders. The cart was ingeniously modified to hide numerous bottles of alcohol, resembling a regular street cart, which led to the successful interception by the police.
