Teacher Recruitment Examination in Bihar to Select Candidates for Various Subjects

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will be conducting the Teacher Recruitment Examination from 9th to 12th September to select candidates for various subjects. However, this does not apply to primary teachers. BPSC President Atul Prasad announced this information on the internet media platform X.

Result Expected by the End of September

The result of the examination is expected to be announced by the end of September, according to Atul Prasad. He also addressed concerns raised by candidates regarding the difficulty of the questions, stating that the toughness of the questions depends on the level of filtering required. The primary teacher examination has a higher candidate-blank ratio, requiring a finer filter.

General Category Cut Off at 40 Percent

The General Administration Department has set the minimum cutoff marks for the teacher appointment exam. General category candidates must score at least 40 percent to qualify. The qualifying marks for other categories are 36.5 percent for most backward class candidates, 36.5 percent for backward class, 34 percent for extremely backward class, 32 percent for scheduled caste and tribe, women, and disabled candidates.

In the case of higher secondary schools, the qualifying marks have been adjusted due to receiving fewer applications than the vacancies. BPSC will be appointing a total of 170,461 positions across all three categories, with 79,943 posts for primary (class 1 to 5), 32,916 posts for secondary (class 9-10), and 57,602 posts for higher secondary (class 11-12).
