BPSC Recruitment of Teachers in Bihar
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is conducting recruitment for lakhs of teachers in Bihar. On the other hand, eligibility exams are being conducted by the Bihar Board to grant the status of state employees to appointed teachers. BPSC is now responsible for appointing experienced teachers as principals as per the recent guidelines on principal appointment and service conditions.
Service Condition Guidelines for Principal Appointment
As per the Principal Appointment and Service Condition Guidelines 2024, BPSC will conduct examinations for the appointment of 40,000 principals in government primary schools. The examination syllabus and pattern will be determined by BPSC in consultation with the Education Department. Teachers falling under the Bihar State-aided Primary School Teachers’ Service Condition Guidelines 2018 are not required to appear for this exam. They can be promoted to principal based on eligibility and vacancies.
Transfer of Principals and Vande Bharat Express Route
The guidelines also mention the transfer of principals and the authority of the Director of Primary Education to transfer principals outside the district. Vande Bharat Express will run between Patna and Ayodhya, providing route and timing details. Eligible teachers with a minimum of 8 years of teaching experience in government primary schools can participate in the upcoming BPSC conducted examination. The age limit for appointment is 58 years or less on August 1 of the appointment year, and salaries and allowances for principals will be determined by the Finance Department in consultation with the Education Department.
