The Bihar government has officially sanctioned the permanent headquarters for the Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP) 1st Van Gorkha Battalion in Naubatpur, Patna district. This development marks a significant upgrade for the battalion, which has been operating with temporary resources since its shift to Patna in 2000. A budget of Rs 40.54 crore has been allocated for building a modern campus on 30 acres of land in Mauja Charra.

Infrastructure and Strategic Importance of the New Center
The upcoming campus is strategically located near the Bihta-Sarmera highway, ensuring quick mobility for the 1300 jawans of the battalion. The project includes the construction of residential barracks, administrative blocks, and a dedicated training center. Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary approved the acquisition of land and the construction work in December 2025 to strengthen the state police infrastructure.
