Bihar News: Building Bylaws now applicable in Gram Panchayats under Planning Area of 30 cities

The Department of Urban Development and Housing has now implemented the provision of building bylaws in Gram Panchayats coming under the Planning Area of 30 cities in the state of Bihar. Following this decision, the concerned authorities will have to apply to the CEO of the Planning Area Authority to get the layout map of buildings approved in rural areas of the Planning Area.

Approval for construction of buildings under Building Bylaws

According to departmental information, approval for building or layout plan maps in Gram Panchayats included in the Planning Area of these 30 cities will be given by the Chief Executive Officer. Applications for approval of maps will be received from the Planning Area Authority office of the respective city. The CEO will conduct a prior check and verification of the map approval, after which applications will be approved as per the rules of building bylaws.

Organised development of cities by Planning Authorities

The department has designated the Planning Area of all district headquarters cities for organised development of cities. Rural areas around the main cities have also been included, where the city has expanded or may expand. This order is already effective in the rural areas included in the Planning Area of Patna.

Implementation of the order in designated Planning Areas

The order will be applicable in Bhagalpur, Hajipur, Sonpur, Buxar, Kishanganj, Katihar, Sasaram, Dehri, Motihari, Aurangabad, Jamui, Siwan, Bettiah, Bagaha, Lakhisarai, Khagaria, Araria, Forbesganj, Sitamarhi, Bhabua, Madhubani, Shivhar, Jehanabad, Arwal, Madhepura, Nawada, Gopalganj, Banka, Supaul, and Sheikhpura.

बिहार के नगर विकास एवं आवास विभाग ने राज्य के 30 शहरों के प्लानिंग एरिया के अंतर्गत आने वाले ग्राम पंचायतों में भी बिल्डिंग बाइलॉज के प्रावधान लागू कर दिये हैं। इस निर्णय के बाद ग्रामीण इलाकों में बिल्डिंग ले-आउट का नक्शा पास कराने के लिए आवेदन करना होगा। इन आयोजना क्षेत्रों में लागू होगा यह आदेश।
