Tragic road accident in Katihar
In a tragic incident in the Kursela police station area of Katihar, a passenger bus overturned near the 31 Kabir Math. The bus was traveling from Gumla, Jharkhand to Siliguri when the accident occurred. Two passengers were reported dead in the accident, while dozens of others sustained injuries.
Bus overturns near NH-31
Early in the morning, around 3:15 am, a Shivam Deluxe bus carrying passengers from Gumla to Siliguri overturned and fell into a roadside ditch near the 31 Kosi Pul Kabir Math. Two women passengers lost their lives in the accident, and around three dozen passengers were injured. The injured were immediately rushed to the Kurseala PHC for treatment, and those with serious injuries were referred to a higher medical center.
Efforts to rescue the passengers
After the bus overturned, the bonnet of the bus broke and opened up, allowing some injured passengers to escape. It was a challenging task to remove the bodies of the two deceased women passengers from inside the bus. With the help of a crane and two JCB machines, attempts were made to extricate the bus from the ditch. It is believed that the driver lost control of the bus due to sleepiness, causing it to overturn.
Injured passengers and casualties
Among the injured passengers, Shalu Karketta (17) from Gumla, Rahul Kumar (25) from Palamu, Parmen Singh (54) from Alipurduar, Ajit Khirth (47) from NJP, Ramjesh Tullu (55) from Jharkhand, Gaurav Mukul (33) from Banka, and several others were seriously injured. The deceased passengers include Sarla Bagani Ramsalen from Gumla and Sandhya Kerketta from Gumla. The local police and SDPO Katihar were present at the accident site and made efforts to rescue the passengers.
बिहार के कटिहार जिले में एक दर्दनाक सड़क हादसा हुआ है, जिसमें 31 कबीर मठ के पास एक यात्री बस पलट गई। इस हादसे में दो यात्रियों की मौत हो गई है और कई लोग घायल हुए हैं। घटना के बाद सभी घायलों को उपचार के लिए अस्पताल में ले जाया गया है। हादसे की वजह से रास्ते पर अटकी बस को निकालने के लिए रेस्क्यू टीम ने काफी मशक्कत की है। इस हादसे की वजह से बिहार विधानसभा में फ्लोर टेस्ट के साथ नीतीश सरकार पर भी बड़ी चर्चा हो रही है।
