Traders Protest in Darbhanga

Under the banner of the Darbhanga Food Business Association, traders in Darbhanga kept the market closed on Sunday in protest against the shooting and robbery of businessman Vipin Kumar in Gola Patti, Dalsinghsarai. This incident has raised concerns among the business community in the area.

Increased Crime in Dalsinghsarai

According to the district secretary of the food business association, Sudhir Kumar, the incident took place on Saturday night when armed men entered Vipin Kumar’s shop, shot him, and fled with Rs. 1.65 lakh. The sudden increase in crime in Dalsinghsarai has left the business community in fear, with incidents of violence and robbery becoming more frequent.

Support from Various Business Groups

Former president of the Swarn Vyapar Sangh, Chandan Prasad, expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Darbhanga. He stressed the need for swift action by the authorities to apprehend the culprits and prevent such incidents in the future. The protest received support from various business groups, leading to the closure of many shops in solidarity.

Police Investigation Underway

The police have taken the incident seriously and formed a team under the leadership of the Dalsinghsarai DSP to apprehend the criminals. The injured businessman, Vipin Kumar, is undergoing treatment for the gunshot wound. The authorities have assured that the case will be solved soon to restore peace in the area.
