Challenges Faced by Farmers
Sudhakar Singh, the newly elected MP from Buxar, emphasized the importance of addressing farmers’ issues. He stated that they will continue to question everyone from the Chief Minister to the Prime Minister regarding farmer-related policies and decisions. Singh highlighted the impact of the recent farmer protests on the election results in areas like Son, where the BJP faced defeat due to the agrarian issues.
Promises for the Future
Singh mentioned that they will organize several large-scale public meetings in Bihar to address the concerns of the farmers. He emphasized that due to the inclusion of issues like mandi laws and minimum support price for farmers in their manifesto, the Gathbandhan India alliance did not win a single seat in the Son region during the Lok Sabha elections. Singh expressed his commitment to raising farmers’ issues at the national level.
Electrification and Agricultural Concerns
Singh raised concerns about the lack of proper electricity supply for farmers in Bihar. He questioned the government’s decision to provide only eight hours of electricity specifically for agricultural purposes, while urban areas and industries receive round-the-clock power supply. Singh criticized the government for not prioritizing the needs of the farmers and highlighted the discrepancies in electricity distribution.
Urgent Need for Water Resources
Singh highlighted the urgent need for water resources in Bihar, especially in the Son region. He expressed concern over the delay in releasing water into the canals and dams, which has affected agricultural activities. Singh pointed out that the lack of water resources has led to a crisis for both farmers and the general population, impacting crop cultivation and daily water needs.
बक्सर से नव निर्वाचित सांसद सुधाकर सिंह ने कहा कि वे किसानों के मुद्दों पर सवाल करते रहेंगे। उन्होंने बीजेपी को किसान आंदोलन के चलते हार का सामना करना पड़ा है। सुधाकर सिंह ने बिहार में कृषि मंत्री पद से इस्तीफा देने के बाद गठबंधन इंडिया के मेनिफेस्टो में मंडी कानून और किसानों को अनाज का न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य के सवाल को शामिल किया। उन्होंने बिहार में करेंगे बड़े स्तर पर सभाएं और किसानों के मुद्दों को संसद में उठाएंगे। उन्होंने बिजली के मुद्दे पर भी सरकार को सवाल किया और बताया कि बिहार में किसानों के लिए बिजली क्यों नहीं दी जा रही।
