Medical Students Demand Justice for Suicide of PG Student in Dehradun
On Thursday evening, medical students of Shaeed Nirmal Mahato Medical College and Hospital in Dehradun took out a candle march demanding justice for the suicide of a PG medical student. The candle march started from the medical college premises. During the march, the students prayed for the peace of the deceased student’s soul.
Pressure from HOD Allegedly Drove PG Student to Suicide
The students claimed that the PG student, Devesh Garg, took his own life due to pressure from a HOD at the Dehradun medical college. They demanded a fair investigation into the case and strict action against the guilty party involved. The candle march was attended by professors, associate professors, and interns of the medical college and hospital.
Call for Impartial Investigation and Accountability
The medical students emphasized the need for an impartial investigation to uncover the truth behind the PG student’s suicide. They stressed the importance of holding the responsible individual accountable for their actions. The demand for justice was echoed throughout the candle march in Dehradun.
