The heavy rains caused the water level of the Kosi River to rise, which the warehouse walls could not withstand. As a result, a large part of the warehouse collapsed.

According to reports, thousands of bags of maize stored in the warehouse fell directly into the water. The owner of the warehouse mentioned that the damage is estimated to be around one crore rupees.
