Devghar: The central government is ready to allocate a total of nine roads in the Godda parliamentary constituency, Godda and Dumka, for construction. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is prepared to provide Rs. 600 crore from the Central Road Infrastructure Fund. The Secretary of the Department of Road Construction, Sunil Kumar, has sent a request to the Director General of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to approve the list of nine roads in the Godda parliamentary constituency as recommended by MP Dr. Nishikant Dubey. The Secretary has proposed to approve the construction of these roads from the Central Road Infrastructure Fund in the financial year 2023-24. These roads will also include a bridge. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the roads and bridge has already been prepared. The total length of the nine roads will be approximately 110 kilometers. The plan is to issue tenders in February and start the work in March, after receiving approval from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways by the end of January. These roads will be constructed in Devghar from Budhai to Narayanpur (70.55 crore, length-10.156 km), from Margomunda to Karoun (87.62 crore, length-13 km), from Manjalitand near NH114E to Dindakoli (26.26 crore, length-7.19 km), and from Jaipur Mod to Jhillighat, connecting the road to the agricultural college and constructing a bridge in the river (18.99 crore, length-1.645 km); in Godda from Meharma NH133 to Kalhaganv Road (9.5 crore, length-2.03 km), from Harnachowk NH133 to Gayachand Bhaya Lukluki, Kuraiwa and Badhkalyani (47.54 crore, length-9.2 km), and from Derma Mod to Koriyana Bhaya Sanour (49.01 crore, length-9.615 km); and in Dumka from Kothiya NH133 to Dighi, Gadi Jhopa, Paraiya and Champagad Road (81.87 crore, length-17.217 km), and from Taljhari NH114E to Madaldiha NH133 near Dande Mod (211 crore, length-38.38 km).
