Railways is undertaking the remodeling of the yard at Chapra Junction to enhance passenger facilities and operational efficiency. This remodeling will increase the capacity of the yard and result in an increase in line capacity. As a result, more trains can be accommodated on the platforms and passengers will not have to wait for long-distance trains. Three new platforms will be available at Chapra Junction, bringing the total number of platforms to eight, allowing for the smooth operation of more passenger trains.
The goods yard at Chapra Junction, which was previously non-interlocked and operated manually, will now be interlocked. This will enable the faster receipt and dispatch of goods trains. The movement time of freight trains will also be reduced. The operation of passenger trains will be more efficient and train operations will be streamlined. This will result in improved punctuality. Additionally, passengers traveling from Gautamsthana and Chapra Kachahri will no longer have to wait on the outer for platforms, resulting in significant time savings. The remodeling of the yard will lead to a block on the Chapra Pit line from November 29 to January 12. Train cancellations, short terminations, and short originations have been arranged due to this block.
The following trains have been cancelled: 05031/05032 Gorakhpur-Gonda-Gorakhpur Unreserved Special train until January 12. 05453/05454 Gonda-Sitapur-Gonda Unreserved Special train until January 12. 05459/05460 Sitapur-Shahjahanpur-Sitapur Unreserved Special train until January 12. 15130 Varanasi City-Gorakhpur Express from Varanasi City on November 30 is cancelled.
The following trains have been short terminated: 15101 Chapra-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express will be terminated at Chapra instead of Bhaptani on December 5, 12, 19, 26, and January 2 and 9. 15102 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Chapra Express will terminate at Chapra instead of Bhaptani on December 30, 7, 14, 21, 28, and January 4 and 11. 15115 Chapra-Delhi Express will be operated from Ballia instead of Chapra on December 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, and
छपरा जंक्शन के यार्ड का रिमाडलिंग कार्य किया जा रहा है ताकि यहां यात्री सुविधा में उन्नयन और परिचालनिक सुगमता हो सके। इसके बाद अधिक गाड़ियों को प्लेटफार्म पर लिया जा सकेगा और लम्बी दूरी की ट्रेनों के लिए यात्रियों को प्रतीक्षा नहीं करनी पड़ेगी। छपरा जंक्शन पर तीन नए प्लेटफार्म उपलब्ध होंगे और कुल आठ प्लेटफार्म यात्रियों के लिए उपलब्ध होंगे। इसके साथ ही छपरा से कुछ ट्रेनों का निरस्तीकरण, शॉर्ट टर्मिनेशन और शॉर्ट ओरिजिनेशन भी किया जा रहा है।
